We’re a product of our raising, and Wyatt Wear is no different. A young twenty-something tradesman in a unique craft, he has quickly become the favorite local butcher.

A Lewiston, Idaho native, Wyatt moved with his family to Deer Park when he was just a young buck. In 2012, he began working for Egger Meats in Deer Park. For the next four years, he learned leadership and service skills, while practicing basic meat cutting and the craft of sausage making. In 2017, Wyatt’s dad started working out of the well-loved neighborhood butcher shop, Rusty’s. Wyatt worked long hours on the road and in the shop with his dad, learning the in’s and out’s of custom cutting the perfect product from on-farm slaughter to the final cut and wrap. In early 2021, Wyatt’s dad had a stroke and although he has recovered, Wyatt stepped in and continued the family business as Wear’s Custom Cuts LLC.

When you meet Wyatt, it won’t take long to realize this guy cares about the quality of your meat as much as you do. He can appreciate a good ribeye steak and wants his customers to feel the same about every piece of meat they unwrap. Wyatt prioritizes processing every order with the same attention to detail and care as if he was feeding his own family and friends. 

More than most millennials can say, Wyatt actually enjoys what he does - providing a rare trade service to help local farmers thrive. It’s a unique opportunity to contribute the main dish to so many family meals, and Wyatt takes it on as a challenge to make cooking meat as enjoyable as possible for each customer. There’s a tangible sense of gratitude and loyalty with his customers who come back year after year, motivating him to continue providing consistent and reliable quality with every order.
